Bob andthe Omnidroidgrip each otherlike wildly mismatchedwrestlers,with Bob atlava's edgenow, losing ground. Bobis STRAINING, desperate•.•thensomethingin him SNAPS.He fillswith rage, andwith a ROARhe--

The groundEXPLODESbeneath him, splittingtherock. Claws risefrom the lava,grip therock, and thedreaded Ornnidroiddrawsitselfout of the lava,drippingmagma, its metalbody glowingred as if itcame from hell itself.

Bob looksdown. Theground is splittinginto chunks beneathhis feet. Inpain, barely ableto move,Bob makes a desperateleap to achunk of rockas it breaksfree... and landspatheticallyon top.

The botsnatches himoff and slamshim into theground. Then it liftsBob up,grabbing hisfeet with anotherclaw and beginsto pull Bobapart. Bob strains,then--POP!

--his backrealigns!Bob is a new man!With a laughhe jackknifes--rippingoff one of theOrnnidroid'sclaws.He drops underneaththebot, causingthe bot to opena secondeye in its underbellyto findhim.

Bob ROARS,seizingthe secondeye, rippingit off the bot'sbody and flingingit in thelava pool.Before the bot canreact, Bob hasclimbed insidethehole in the belly.The bot knowsBob is insideand beginsto STAB itselfwildly toget at him ...puncturingitselfagain and againand tearingitself apart.

WITH BOB AND THE OMNIDROID

The Omnidroid knowsthis too, andit fires laserblasts atBob to try tostop Bob fromusing the remote.Bob jumpsclear, thenhears his sonfrom down the street.

BOB
GO LONG!!

Bob gives the remotea MONSTERTHROW, flingingit high intothe air andacross the river.Dash pivotsand takes off after it. TheOmni sees Dashand starts firingafter him.

ashe hits thewater, jetting acrossthe water'ssurface asthe Omni firesaway. The waterEXPLODESaround Dash, but he concentrateson the remote,following itinto his handslike an NFL receiver.

I GOT IT!!

Dash crosses theriver and hitsthe streets on theother side,seeminglyhome free. But theOmni is stillFIRING, andit hits somecars in Dash'spath, igniting theirgas tanks. SuddenlyDash is surroundedby a wall ofFLAMES!

WITH BOB

He runstoward Helen,who is closerto the Omnidroid.

HONEY! TAKE OUT ITSGUNS!!

HELEN

- hears him. She grabsa heavy MANHOLECOVER, windingher elastic arm arounda light poleto fling it-- likean arrow-- at the OMNIDROID'S gun.Bull's-eye.

ACROSS THE RIVER

What follows amountsto a gameof hot potato betweenthe Supers and the robotover the remote:

Frozone saves Dashfrom the circleof burningcars. The Robot sees thisand goes afterthem. With Dashon his back, Frozone racesacross theriver, freezingit in front of him ashe goes.

The robot JUMPS--almost on topof them, creatinga MASSIVE WAVEand throwing Dashand Frozone highinto the air. Thinking fast,Frozone turnsthe wave intoa wall of SNOW. It crashesover the streets,cushioningtheir fall.

IN THE STREET -NEARBY

The remote clattersto the ground.Bob sees itand runs for it. The botsees Bob and firesa claw-- catchingBob just as he was reachingfor theremote. The CLAW-- with Bob inside-- tumblesend over enddown the street.With Bob out of theway, the bot headsfor the remote.

Frozone ices therobot's path,causing the bot'smetal feet to slip andslide. Helen runsahead of thebot, stretching herselfinto a tripwireacross the stumbling robot's path. ItCRASHES to thestreet.

The bot LOOKS UP.The remote lieson the streetjust in front of it, easilywithin itsgrasp. The bot reachesout with a claw todestroy the remote.The remotemagically JUMPS CLEAR. Thebot tries again,and again theremote darts away. Rilednow, the botrears up and STABS wildly at the remotewith all of its arms.We hear VIOLET shriek, as theremote repeatedlyeludes the robot's grasp: finallytangling its legsso badly thatit topples over.

Vi REAPPEARS, runningback to rejointhe groupin the middle of the street.

Mom, I gotit! I got theremote!
FROZONE
A remote?A remote that controlswhat?

Violetbegins tofiddle with therernote'sCLICK-WHEEL, pokingits buttonsto no effect.The robot hasgotten to itsfeet and lungestoward them.

Violetshrieks andpresses the buttona last time. ROCKETSFIRE underneaththe robot'sclawed feet,lifting theenormous machineinto the air.

The ROBOT???

Everyoneducks asthe robot rocketsoverhead,crashing intoa building atthe end of thestreet. Likea woozy prizefighter,theOrnnidroidgetsback on its feet.

It's corningback!

Dashsnatches theremote from Violet,aims it atthe robot,spins theclick-wheel andpresses a button.Behind Dash(and unseenby all) the clawson the robot's detachedarm SPRING OPEN--flingingBob into theair.
