FADE IN: CLOSE-UP. The leathery, bullish face ofa JAIL GUARD. He SHOUTS.

GUARD
Feed time!

CAMERA PULLSBACK. The guard stands in a dimly litprison HALLWAY.Rows of JAIL CELLSstretch along the sidewalls. Crowded-with PRISONERS. The prisoners SHOUT and JEER atthe guard. He removeshis wooden BILLY CLUB. Giving a HARDRAP to the bars. It ECHOESthrough the prison. The guard SNARLS.

GUARD
The longeryou animals bark ...the colder yer' lunchgets.

The prisoners SIMMERDOWN. The guard inserts a key intothe MASTER LOCK. All of'thecell doors OPEN. SIMULTANEOUSLY. The prisoners RUSHOUT. HUNGRY. The guard SHOUTS.

GUARD
Single file. Singlefile.

The prisoners crowd into a LINE. They PASS the watchful guard, who taps his palm.withthe threatening billy club. Two ASSISTANT GUARDS leadthe prisoners into another hallway. Toward the CAFETERIA. When all of the prisoners have exited, the guard turnsto FOLLOW. He PAUSES. Hearing a NOISE. A CREAKING. The guard TURNS. He sees SOMETHING. At hallway's END. In theLAST cell. A DARK FIGURE. SWINGING back and forth. The guard WALKS to the cell. CURIOUS. CAUTIOUS. Hand GRIPPING his gun. He STOPS.

The bodyof JAKE FRATELLI, a 33 year oldexcitable boy, * strong,muscular, with the face of a KILLER. JAKE is James Caan on speed.He HANGS from a rusty ceilingpipe. His belt iswrapped AROUND HIS NECK. His eyes areCLOSED. His tongueHANGS OUT. Face frozen in a GHASTLYposition. His body SWAYS. An obvious SUICIDE. A NOTEis pinned to Jake's chest. The gμard ENTERSthe cell. HeGRABS the note. READINGit to himself.

GUARD

"You schmuck! You really think I'd be stupid enough to kill myself?" (puzzled) Huh?

The guardLOOKS UP. Jake's eyes are OPEN. He is SMILING. * VERYALIVE. Before the guard can react, Jake quickly liftshis KNEE. SLAM! Into the guard's JAW. The guard HITS the floor. OUTCOLD. Jake BOOSTS himself outof thenoose. We see th,atthe noose is actually attachedto a CONTRAPTIONthat fits around Jake's WAIST. Jake LOOKS into thehallway. Making sure the coast is CLEAR. He beginsto UNBUTTON the guard's shirt.

EXT. JAIL - DAY

Jake RUNSfrom the jail. A blaring ALARM sounds! A GROUP* OF GUARDSrun out of the prison, in PURSUITof Jake. CAMERA PANS TO a waitingBLACK,nondescript, OFF ROAD VEHICLE. Leaning outthe w±ndow of the driver's side, puffing on a cigarette,is MAMA FRATELLI. She is a 56 year old, heavyset woman, with.greyhair and a MENACING, EVIL face. ·She is part MarjorieMain, part Jungle cat. Her son, FRANCIS FRATELLI,-standsoutside of the car, holding a can of GASOLINE. Francis is a 31 year old man with dark hair and crazed eyes. He resembles Victor Jory as Injun Joe in the 1938 film "TomSawyer". He has just poured a STREAM of gasoline severalfeet in front of the OFF ROAD VEHICLE. The cops have nearlyCAUGHT UP with Jake. Guns DRAWN, they are ready to SHOOT! Mama nonchalantly FLICKS her lit cigarette to the ground. The cigarette IGNITES THE GASOLINE. This creates a literalWALL OF FIRE between the cops and JAKE. Jake and FrancisHOP into the car. The Off Road Vehicle DRIVESOFF.

MamaDRIVES. PANICKED. UPSET. She CHECKS the rearview mirror. A second policecar joins the chase. The Police areGAININGon them.

EXT. EIGHTH STREET -DAY

THE POLICE CARSFOLLOW. IN HOT PURSUIT down the steephill.

takes a SHORTCUT, through a STOP N' SNACK PARKING LOT. The O.R.V. nearly HITS a Mexicanwoman, ROSALITA. She is ASKING DIRECTIONS from the storeowner, an elderly woman named SYLVIAKEESTER. Rosalita we.tchesin SHOCK as the two police cars shoot past her. InPURSUITof the O.R.V.

EXT. HOUSE WITH BADPLUMBING - .DAY

The CHASEcontinues throughA RESIDENTIAL SECTION of town. CAMERA PANSTO ONEPARTICULAR HOUSE, SEVERAL FEET AWAY. We DOLLY INTO THE KITCHENWINDOW.

INT. KITCHENWITHBADPLUMBING - DAY

MOUTH sits on the kitchensink, watching an old BLACKand WHITEMOVIEon T.V. Severalcop cars CHASEJames Cagney's car, complete with POLICE SIRENS and FLYINGBULLETS. Mouth's Father, THE PLUMBER,works on the pipes below. WE SEE THE ONCOMING CHASEthrough the kitchen window. But Mouth is TRANSFIXED by thetelevision screen. Mouth's FATHER screams. ·'

FATHER
Turn down that goddamn T.V.and come help me with thesepipes!

Mouth TRIES to turn down theT.V. but the volume just seems to get LOUDER and LOUDER,as the real chase blazes past the window over Mouth's shoulder,all of it UNSEEN by Mouth. SECONDS before the chasepasses the kitchen window, Mouth's Father hits the WRONG PIPE. A GUSHOF WATER blasts through the sink drain. It DOUSESMouth and SPLATTERS the window. This creates a CURTAIN OF WATERthat BLOCKS Mouth's VIEW of the chase.

EXT. JUNKYARD.•DAY

DATA searchesthrough an enormous trash bin, picking up discarded WIRES,CABLES, etc. Data is wearing a WALKMAN. It DROWNS out allsounds. He is tinkering with one of his crude inventions,·ABELT BUCKLE SUC'XIONGUN. Data DECIDES to test his invention. He .S'l'EPSawayfrom thetrash bin. He PRESSES a buttonon his BELTthat reads "O'U'r"!'rheBELT BUCKLE flipsopen •.A suction cup, attached to a long wire, SHOOTS OUTof the buckle. 'rhesuction cup STICKS to-the trash bin! Data HITS the "IN" button on his belt. Another mechanism causesthe wire to REEL the trash bin TOWARD DATA! Data TRIES to turn itOFF! Doesn't work! .Suddenly,the trash bin comes toa STOP! Wedged between ?WO 'XELEPHONE POLES·! 'l'nestrongFORCEof the WIRE be~ins to PULL DATA IN'XO'!HEBIN! He CAN'-TSTOP IT! Data is PULLED inside the bin, an instantbefore the CHASE PASSESBY!

EXT. HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL FIELD -DAY

TINA TURNER'S "Better Be GoodTo Me" BLASTSfrom the stadium speakers. A grou~ of high schoolCHEERLEADERS practice along with the music. ANDY, one ofthe prettiest-girls in town, LEADS the cheerleaders. 'rheyare forming aPYRAMID. The chase PASSESBY in the background,UNBEKNOWNST to the CHEERLEADERS; 'rheMUSICIS .TOOLOUDfor them to hear.

'!HEO.R.V. LEAPS a small ditch, out of theparking lot, through a wire fence.

The Fratelli o.R.V. squealsdown the street, rapidly overtaking:

A LARGEVAN. The elderly ~ OCCUPANTS·(SIMON & SIMONE SIMIAN) exchange a contentedglance. Simon now looks at his side view mirror, his expressioninstantly changing t.o panicas:

SIMONE
Simon, lookout!

The van swerves hard right, allowingthe Fratelli O.R.V. to screech around it. Now suddenlylooming up from behind the right side: A POLICE PATROLCAR!

Simon swings the large van back hardleft to accomodate the patrol car as:

A SECONDPATROLCAR starts to overtakethe van fran the left side! The van spins in·confusion,blocking the road sideways as A THIRD PATROLCAR skids to a stop in front of it, barely avoiding a er.ash.·

The OFFICER inside jumps out, headsquickly for the van cab.

OFFICER
This road only runs twoways, pop, so •••

He suddenly stops as he hears FRANTIC POUNDINGand AGONIZED SCREAHS from within the rear of the van!Rushing to the side door, the Officer starts to jerk it open as:

SIMON
No! Don't! ~! ! !

Too late!The door flies open and TWO RUGE GORILLAS leap out,decking the Officer in the process. Gruntingand squealingwith delight at their new-found freedom,they disappeararound the corner of the van.

ANGLEON FAR SIDE OF VAN

The dazedOfficer rounds the van in pursuit, scratcheshis gead,puzzled. The Gorillas have disappeared. Inb.g. we now see,printed on the side of the van: BONZOTHE GREATAND HIS ~, with a picture of them driving a small red car.

A neatly manicuredputting green, part of an elegant country club.

TROYPREKINS and his FATHERstand on the green. Inb.g. a little red golfcart sits, holding their clubs.Troy hovers seriouslyover a putt, using the knock-kneed stance made famous by ArnoldPalmer.

ANGLEON BUSHES

The two Gorillas emergefrom the bushes, now catching sight of the red golfcart. Eyes dancing with delight, they circle it curiously,then hop in as:

BACKTO GREEN

Troy has heard something,wheels in·time to see the Gorillas take off in the cart!His jaw drops in disbelief.

TROY
Daddy ••• daddy!Two hugehairy thingsjust stoleour cart!

Mr. Perkins spins around.The cart with the Gorillas is disappearing into the distance.He squints after it, enraged.

MR. PERKINS
Hairythings, my ass! That's George and Ethel Higgenbottom!I'd recognize them anywhere!
(yelling)
I see you, Higgenbottom! This could mean yourmembership, you furball!

The cars are headed for aMARINA. Several FISHING BOATSare dockedhere. STEF, a 16 yearold girl, WORKSwith her Fatheron a small FISHING BOAT. Seconds beforethe CHASE passes, stef, wearing a mask and snorkel,ducksher head intoa tank of water, sortinglobsters and crabs. As the chasePASSES out of sight,Stef RESURFACES. She's MISSED allof it.

INT. VIDEOPARLOR -DAY

CHUNKstands in the window. He is PLAYING a video game, alternatingbetween bitsof a giant PIZZA SLICE and a chocolateMILKSHAKE. The REFLECTION of the chase isVISIBLE inthe video game window. Chunk TURNS from thewindow, clumsilySPILLING themilkshake over his shirt and SMEARING the window with pizza. Chunk STARES at the chase. He sees the countless BULLETHOLESin the O.R.V. THE POLICE CARS follow. Chunk's eyes areWIDE. STARTLED by the exciting chase. He's the onlyGOONY who's seen it.

Mama CHECKS the rearviewmirror, seeing the police closing in. The boys LOOKat her inhorror.

But Mama has NOT LOST herconfidence. There is a certain GLEAM in her eyes, as if she-·KNOWSsomething. She TURNS to her sons.

MAMA
Duck down, boys!

The boys-OBEY Mama. MamaREACHES below the seat and removes a ·HELMET. She puts the helmetover her head and pulls down :theDARK face visor.

Forty NONDESCRIPTOFF-ROAD VEHICLESline up at the starting line. All of theirdrivers wear HELMETS,their dark face visors PULLEDDOWN.

MAMA'S O.R.V. drivesup to the STARTING LINE andJOINS THE RACE. The STARTINGFLAGis waved ..The RACEBEGINS. THE POLICE CARSstop at the starting line. The POLICEMEN-get out. Guns RAISED. Ready to SHOOT. But asthe countless vehicles pass,the Policemen can only STAREIN CONFUSION. Mama's o.R.V. isLOST in the crowd of similarvehicles. Her face isHIDDENin the crowd of similar facehelmets. The race DISAPPEARSov.era hill.

Chunk FALLSBACKWARDS and KNOCKSa miniature MARBLE REPLICAof Michaelangelo's DAVID to the floor. The statue landswith a THUD! Chunk NERVOUSLYpicks up the statue. Itseems to be in ONEPIECE. But heis met with a SHOCKING SIGHT. The statue's penis has CRACKEDOFF. Mikey gives himselfanother SHOTof Promtene Mist,and picks up the broken statue. Mouth stands by theMAGAZINE RACK. A sly look inhis.eyes, Mouth slips a copyof "PLAYBOY" magazine behinda copy of "OMNI". He beginsto READ.

Chunk stands besidethe JUNK FOOD. He LOOKSaround. coast is CLEAR. ChunkHURRIEDLY tears open a TWinkie. He quickly SLURPSout the TWinkie'screme filling. He REWRAPSthe hollow twinkie and putsit BACKON the shelf.

Mikey enters the store. He RUSHES over to Chunk. Mikey WAVES the map in Chunk'sfaee.

Datapulls one-of his CORDS•frombeneath his shirt. A mechanicaldevice RAISES from Data'schest, with a pair of cheapopera glasses attached tothe end. The glasses stop in frontof Data's eyes. But when hemoves to look through them,the glasses fly from theirplace and shoot forward.. Datagives a shrug. Mouth looks overMikey's shoulder at themap.

MOUTH
so what made you thinknobody ever followed this map beforeand made.off with whatever's buriedthere?
MIKEY

That sounded like gunshots. Not the big ones you hear in warmovies, but real ones.
MIKEY

Mikey CONTINUESto move forward. The boysFOLLOW. They are now a littleSHAKEN. Eyes DARTING backand forth. A bit more cautious. They arrive at the frontof the building. Mouth peersthrough the filthy FRONTDOORwindows. Mikey and Datawalk to the side of the building. They try to LOOK into thewindows. -TOOHIGH. The boys spota PILE of discardedORANGE CRATES. They stand theorange crates on end. Climbingup onto them.

They PEER throughthe windows. Chunk WALKSto an outdoor soda machinethat sits next to a closed garage. Chunk tries to peer intothe garage, starts to open thedoor, INVESTIGATING IT.

The kids getto their feet. In the chaos,the doubloon has fallen from Mikey'spocket. It rolls on itsside, along the floor. Chunk grabs it, seconds beforethe doubloon . falls into adrain. Chunk pockets the doubloon. We are inside of a largestone room. At one timeused.as a kitchen. Theroom is equipped with a giantfreezer, two large stainlesssteel sinks, a Sparklett'sglass water cooler, a stoveand a stone fireplace. A"tiny flame still burns in the fireplace. The only objectthat seems out of place is a large,black metal printingpress. The press is ancient, rusty. A small window sits abovethe press. A photo of theFratelli's adorns the wallbehind the press. The kids exchangea bewildered shrug. Chunkgoes straight for the watercooler. Chunk moves·hismouth beneath the tiny faucet. He turns on the faucet and_letsthe water stream intohis open mouth. '

An excitedMikey grabs a fireplace poker. He finds a random spot inthe center of the floor.

Chunk grabs the freezerhandle. He pulls hard. It's jammed. He pulls again. Still won't budge.

Brand is stompingon the fireplace ground. Itcreaks, cracks. The brickscrumbling. The kids curiouslywatch. He gives a hard stomp tothe ground. A loud CRACK! Brand's foot shootsthrough~ up to his knee. Ah opening! The boys help Brandout of the fireplace.

Datakeeps his feet in the SHALLOW SECTION. He inserts the endsof the battery wires INTOTEE WATER. A LOW VOLTAGE SHOCKsurges through Data. The leeches FALLOFF his body! ELECTROCUTED! Data MOTIONS for the others to join him. As each person STEPS into the water, Data INSERTSthe two wires. A SUCCESS. The device REMOVES the leeches from everyone. Only Andy and Stef REMAIN. The skeletonis carrying a largeScythe. Its rustedblade long and sharp. The booby-trappedskeleton speeds acrossthe floorfastened to a wooden boardwith wheels. The scythe bladecoming straight forthe boys• heads. The boysduck, just intime. The skeletonshoots by. The sickle blade justmissing their headsby less than an inch. The skeletonslams into a farwall, shattering into a million pieces. The boys catch theirbreath.

The boys know betterthan to ask any questions. Mikey seems disappointedthat the skeleton is pointingto Door number 3. Mouth putshis arm around Mikey.

The kids pause. Mikey looks'at everyone.

Bonzo jumps onto the hood, cavingit in, as Bertha leaps into the car. Bonzo takes his familiarplace behind the wheel, reaches out to stomp onthe pedals. The car lurches forward and drives away erratically,spinning from side to side.

Troy gets to his feet, purplewith rage.

TROY
Don't just stand there! Somebody do something! That car costmy daddy fifteen thousand dollars!

The satisfied Attendant rehooks thegas nozzle to the pump, checks the readings.

The Goonieshave arrived in a largesection of the passageway. A long, crooked,wooden mast stretches across a deep,stream of rushingwaters. The mast is the onlyway acrossthe stream, which leadsto a Skull-shaped opening in thewall. Countless living starfishline the surrounding walls.

CLOSE- GROUP SHOT

For thefirst time, all of theGoonies sense the impending magic ofMikey's adventure. All stare, jaws limp. Andy whispersto Brand:

The kidscontinue to run! Mama firesanother shot! _The bulletzips past Mikey, just missinghim. It blows away a sectionof wood directly in front ofhim! The kids arrive at thetop, running into the opening. Mama and the boys dash forward,beginning to cross themast. Before entering, Data turns,seeing the Fratelli'scoming after him with a gun. He reaches for a cord insideof his shirt. He pulls the cord andscreams.

Slickshoes!

Both heels ofData's shoes pop open! A plastictube extends! Black oil sprays out, splatteringdown the mast! As Mama balancesherself on the mast, she raisesher gun, aiming atData. But the oil has splattered overthe entire mast. BeforeMama can fire a shot, she slipsand falls, tumblingoack intoJake and Francis. Theynearly fall off the mast, holdingon for dear life! Data cheers,but suddenly beginsto slip himself. Seconds beforehe falls into the streamof wate~, Mikey grabs him and pullsData into the chamber. ,:

Andy READS the nexttwo notes. She hits TWOKEYS. Two chords ECHOthrough the tunnel. The boulder CREAKSagain. Opening a LITTLE more. Less than an INCH. Andy TRIES to read the next note. Itis SMEARED. UNREADABLE. Nervous, she plays a RANDOMNOTE. A SOURCHORD blasts throughthe tunnel.

A LARGE CHUNK OF THE FLOORCRACKS! It DROPSOUT! INCHES from Mikey's feet. He JUMPS BACK. There is now a LARGE HOLEin the'floor. Mikey PEERS intothe hole. It Isa HUNDRED FOOTDROP. Ontoa floor of SHARP STALAGMITES. Mikey CATCHES his breath.

Thetour notes always trigger anothersection of the floor todrop out. The goonies are diving. Leaping. Doing everythingto avoid the deadly holesin the floor. Soon, only onesection of the floor remainsintact: the section holdingthe organ. All of the kids areclustered together. Clutching,grabbing ontp differen~sections of the organ. The remaining section of floortilts and quivers. If thissection drops, the organ willcrumble and all of the goonieswill fall to their deaths.

Andy andthe kids climb from theorgan, through the opening! But Mikey's foot steps on yetanother note! A wrong note! The organ begins to crumble! The floor holding the organsways, and Mikey is stillhanging on! Brand reaches out and grabshis brother's hand! He pulls Mikey into the opening,seconds before the entireorgan and floor crumble intoa million pieces! r

The Goonieshave escaped into a steep, long circular water slide! The goonies duck and dodge variousjutting rocks and stallactitesas they slide to thebottom! Screaming thewhole way down!

We are inan enormous underground cavern. An enchanting, magical place. The high ceilings and wallsare lined with sparkling rocks. A large pool of waterstretches across the ground. The mostamazing sight in theentire cavern, is an authentic,well preserved pirate ship! The gigantic ship is tilted onits side. Constructed ofwood. Its crooked mast and tatteredsails are in place. A black,.skull and crossbonesflag waves. At half mast. The figurehead of a beautifulwoman adorns the ship'sbow. Ancient cannons jut from the sideof the ship. Half of theship is buried into the cavernwall. The result of a cavein. Hundreds of years ago. The kids continue to stareat the amazing sight. Speechless.

Mikey pauses. Data has a solution. He reaches into his shirt and pullsa cord. A large, yellowlife raft pops out of hisbackpack. The raft begins to inflate. But it just doesn'tstop. It continues to get bigger... Bigger ... until...BOOM! Itexplodes!The sound sends a shudderthrough the ancient cavern! A small rumbling is heard. Tiny pieces of earth crumble from thecavern

The kids continueto hurry forward. Stef suddenlyfeels something strange,brushing against her thighunderwater. She turns toMouth, who is behind her. Stefglares at him, raising her handas if to slap him.

Mouth gives a puzzledshrug. stef turnsback around. CAMERA PANSunderwater. We se.e a giant,slitherlytentacle wiggling a few inchesfrom Stef's thigh. The tentacle begins to rub stef'sthigh.

The squidreels back, lettinggo of Andy! The booming chorusof the Head's songreverberates through thesquid's body. It trembles. Quivers. In shock. The monster shootsaway from the goonies. It is crazed by therock n' roll. The squid wildlybounces off the cavernouswalls, tryingto make the musicstop. The squid inadvertantlydoes a comic dance,rockingto the beat of the music and the kidswatch it disappear. Far into the cavern.

The goonies run to thepirate ship. Scared out oftheir wits. They arrive at theship's bow. The giganticship towersover them. Mikey jumps up. He begins to climbthe sideof the ship. Placinghis foot in the thin cracksof wood. The other kids hurriedlyfollow. Mikey shoutsdown tothem.

MIKEY
Be careful...Thiswood's really old. One splinter and you'rein for hepatitis.•. spinalmeningitis... lockjaw ...

Mikey continues babbling ashe climbs over the ship's top.

INT. PIRATE CAVERN

The kids climb aboard. They standon the ship's crooked deck. The deck is long and wide. Covered with old, creaky boards. Various swords and kniveshang on a weapon rack. On the outside wall of themain cabin. The kids look for a way out. Brand and Mouth scanthe wall of weapons. Lookingfor a door. Mikey runsup onto the raised deck. Stefand Andy find a trap door.·But it is locked by severalthick, metal chains. Data walks up to the ship's extended, curved ventil.ator.Data crawls'into·.thewide -ventilator opening. · ·

Moving arong the raised deck,Mikey backs into something. He turns. A pirate stands therel·His back to Mikey. The pirate is huddled over the ship'shuge, wooden steering wheel. He is dressed in a tattered,colorful pirate costume. Mikey catches hisbreath. He reaches out, touching the pirate. A CREAK. The Pirate turns. Mikey is faceto face with a grinningPirate.skull. Two daggers protruding from the deep eyesockets! Mikey SCREAMS. Everyone rushes to him. savefor Data. The kids examine the skeleton.

Kicking. Data is stuck. The kidscome to his rescue. Brand and Mouth each grab one ofData's legs. Pulling. Hard. Instead of pullingData out of the ventilator...Brandand Mouth pull the ventilatorout of the deck! Data fallson his bottom. Still insideof the ventilator. A largehole has replaced the ventilator. In the ship's deck. Andy·peers into the dark hole. Her head pops back out. Nose crinkled. coughing. It'sdusty. Andy looks atthe others.

Andy·motionsfor the others to follow. She lowers herself into thehole. Data has managed to squirmout of the ventilator. He follows the others intothe bowels of the ship. Beforeentering, Mikey takes a shotfrom his breath- alizer.

INT. PIRATE SHIP -BENEATH THE TOP DECK

The kids enterthe large cab·inbelow deck.A thick layer of greyishbrown dust covers the floor. The kids huddle close together. The kids feet move through thethick dust. Mikey stops. Noticing something in themiddle of the ceiling. A small yellow glow. Shining throughthe dust! Mikey pointsit out to the others.

- . MIKEY Cool. Yellow stuff.

The kids clearthe dust with their hands. The glowing gets brighter. Brighter. The dust is cleared. An area of boards isvisible. Bright golden light glimmers. Through the cracks. The kids exchange hopeful glances. Mouth gives a sarcasticsmirk.

Mikey excitedlystands on a bench.He grabs hold of a loose board. He pulls. Hard. The_shipcreaks and shudders. But thekids are too curiousto care. Mikey continues to pull. Finally, the board snaps. A glaring shaft of light! Shining through the rectangularhole! Mikey smilesat the others. They areanxious. Excited. Everyonegrabs hold of a board! As each board is removed, more light fills the cabin. The ship continues to creak and groan. The kids work fast. Urgent. Pulling away more boards. The ceilin~ above thekids begins to weaken. The smallsection of ceiling gives,tumbling down onto the kids,revealing the glorious light.

INT. TREASURECABIN

The kidshave climbed into a largeroom. Filled with the treasure!

A magicalroom. Glistening with allthe colors of the rainbow. The room is literally a gardenof jewels. There aretrees with branches of silver and goldcoins, and leaves of emeralds. Rose bushes aremade of sparkling rubies. Thereare flowers of sapphires. Bushes made of pearls. Thereis-even a half moon, ·suspendedinthe air, made of diamonds. Scattered throughout thejewel garden, are hundreds-ofother items. Drinking goblets. Necklaces. Rings. Crowns. More treasure thanthe kids (or the audience) has ever seen in one room! Pirate skeletons surroundthe treas~re. Arms crossed. Armed with swords. Guardiansof the treasure.

And sittingin the middle of all of this,at a long wooden tablecovered with a feast of treasure,is One Eyed Willy. A look of total respect and admirationcover Mikey's face. He nods to One Eyed Willy.

One Eyed Willy's skeletonflies through the trap door on the Captain's deck. He lands directly in front of the ship's steering wheel. Inrube goldberg fashion, the trap door hits a cannonball,which rolls along a path in the ship's deck, which is connectedto a long section ofwood that stretches to tliecavernceiling, the wood is connected to the ceiling's supportsystem. The cannonball hits the section of wood, causingthe wood to snap, causing the entire ~upport system tobecome undone ....

The entire cavern beginsto shudder. Rumble. The Pirate ship tilts. Shakes. Thesails buckle. The ship's anchors raise.
